FlexJobs is worth it, but pay attention to plans!

hey everyone, so is flexjobs worth it? for me, definitely a yes. i've been looking at their freelance job listings for a bit now, and the quality of the postings is way better than just sifting through indeed or linkedin. i always try to snag a promo code when they're around, makes the subscription even sweeter. a friend asked me about the difference between the weekly and monthly plans, and basically it's just how long you want access – monthly obviously gives you more bang for your buck if you're serious about the job hunt. i've heard their support is good too if you need to use that refund window, but i haven't had to. so far so good! 👍

Decent value, needed a deal

I was really hesitant to pay for a job board, but after looking at a lot of free options, I decided to try FlexJobs. I waited for a good deal, got a 50% off promo for the 1-Year Subscription, which made it feel much more affordable. I've been using it to look for part-time remote jobs. The amount of listings is impressive, and I like that they're all pre-vetted, so I don't waste time on scams. For the price I paid, I feel like I'm getting good value, especially with the extra resources like the Company Research Guide. It felt like a worthwhile investment given the discount.

Easy to use, found a job

Got a 1-Month Subscription. Found a relevant remote job in two weeks. Interface is clean. No wasted time. Cancelled after I got the offer. Worth the price.

Good jobs, quick support

I purchased the 3-Month Subscription to FlexJobs after seeing some good reviews online. The sign-up process was straightforward, and I found a few promising leads pretty quickly. What I really appreciated was the customer support. I had a question about filtering jobs, and their chat support got back to me in about 15 minutes, which was much faster than I expected. They were helpful and polite. The job quality seems good, they really do screen them, not like some other sites I've used. I even tried out one of the Remote Job Search Webinars; it was informative, but a bit basic for someone with some experience. Overall, it was a solid experience.

Useful service, minor glitches

I subscribed to the 1-Month Subscription to try out FlexJobs. The sheer number of legitimate remote jobs is a big plus; it saves a lot of sifting through other sites. I applied to several freelance job listings and got a couple of interviews, so it definitely works. My main complaint is that sometimes the job filters didn't seem to save properly between sessions, which was a little annoying. Also, while the Career Advice Articles are helpful, some felt a bit generic. Still, the core service of screened jobs is strong, and I found it much better than free alternatives.

hey, was thinking of signing up for flexjobs but does anyone know if they actually have good discounts right now? trying to save a few bucks.

N Nina 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually have some kind of promo code floating around. I got 40% off my annual sub a few months back. Just gotta check their site or do a quick google for codes.

They often do 30-50% off deals, especially if it's your first time or around holidays. I think I saw a new year's one recently.

how often do they add new jobs? like, am I going to see the same stuff everyday or is it updated regularly?

C Chris L. 2 months ago
They add new jobs constantly, like every weekday. It's not just a stagnant list; new stuff pops up all the time. Makes checking it pretty worthwhile.

S Steve Marsh 2 months ago
Pretty frequently. I feel like whenever I log in there's a bunch of new listings. They claim to add thousands every week.

i'm pretty skeptical about these job boards. is flexjobs actually legit or is it just another scam with fake listings?

D Derek V. 2 months ago
Nah, FlexJobs is definitely legit. They screen all their jobs, so you don't have to wade through a ton of junk. Saves a lot of time.

Totally legit. I've used them for years and always found real opportunities. They're way better than just sifting through Indeed or something.

thinking about the annual plan but what if I don't like it or find something super fast? can I get my money back?

R Ryan 2 months ago
Yeah, they have a 14-day refund window. If you're not happy, just cancel within two weeks and you should get your money back.

Pretty sure they have a satisfaction guarantee for the first two weeks. I've never used it, but it's there if you need it.

i'm trying to decide between the weekly and monthly plan. what's the real difference besides the time?

S Shane Y. 1 month ago
The weekly is mainly for just trying it out. The monthly or longer plans usually give you a better per-day rate. If you're serious, go for at least a month, the week goes by fast.

P Paula A. 1 month ago
Basically, the longer you commit, the cheaper it is per day/week. The weekly is just a quick peek. Monthly gives you enough time to actually apply to stuff and see if it's working for you.
